Skin Care School Information
Skin care schools are becoming more and more popular. Skin care specialists, usually referred to as estheticians are in high demand all over the country. As people become more interested in skin care, and more and more salons and spas are opening, there is a shortage of qualified estheticians available. The average hourly wage is over $13.00, and many estheticians earn as much as $20.00 an hour or more. The hours are usually flexible, making it an ideal job for either full or part time work.
Estheticians are licensed skin care specialists who are highly trained, and in most cases, licensed by the state board of cosmetology. Advances in medical science and technology, such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion are making it a much more specialized field, and a skin care school is the ideal place to learn all of the up to the minute treatments, safety and sanitation regulations, and get hands on experience.
